Nourish Us In Peace

Sometimes you can't do better than what you've done before.

One Year Ago

Hope everyone has a great weekend, whether you're celebrating the holiday in the US or whether you're somewhere else in the world.

We sang "God of our fathers" at Fremont this morning (it was really the only "patriotic" piece we sang, though I did through in the "nchi yetu" verse in "Bariki Baba", which we led (along with "Will the circle be unbroken" and "I sing a song of the saints of God") as Special Music. Two weeks from now we'll have bagpipes!

I sang your "creation" incipit.

Assimilation begins slowly...

I sing a song of the saints of God (with no American emendations, please!) is quite a significant, evocative hymn for me and would surely be in my top twenty-five (but ten was enough to nail down -- even though I know you've done One Hundred).
